Eleven AHF Coaches Educators and 39 Level One Coaches from 14 countries received their certification from HRH Sultan Azlan Shah at the AHF – MHC Hockey Academy in Ipoh on 2 Dec 2011. Malaysia retained the Women’s SEA Cup with a comfortable 6-0 win over Singapore at the Sports Authority of Thailand ground in Bangkok.
Japan won the third Girls U18 Asia Cup in an exciting final played at the Queen Sirikit Stadium in Bangkok. Playing a more experienced Chinese team, the Japanese girls showed considerable resolve and tactical ability in controlling play for long periods and creating several chances.
