Yokoyama Hide, Asian Hockey Federation Vice President, has called for the extension of the age limit for young athletes who will be allowed to play in the Junior Asia Cup 2021. This measure should be taken in order to facilitate Young athletes who were unable to play in events in 2020 due to the Coronavirus global pandemic. He argues that this specific age group should be given the opportunity to play in events with an extension of one year.

Mr. Yokoyama has forwarded his request to the Asian Hockey Federation and the International Hockey Federation for due consideration.
