A Youth Hockey Championship was recently held in Almaty region, Kazakhstan. The tournament consisted of young players from the age groups of 9 to 12 and 13 to 14 years old. A total of 14 teams participated in the event, with 5 girls teams and 9 boys teams participating. The tournament was held in Taldykorgan from August 26th to 28th, 2019. Taldykorgan city boys and girls emerged as the champions. Mr. Mahmood Director sports hockey school and president Almaty region hockey association is organized this event.
The AHF is proud to see such initiatives and hopes to see more of the same in the future.
