18-member Pakistan Junior Hockey Team is ready for World Junior Hockey Cup

LAHORE: The 18-member Pakistan Junior Hockey Team participating in the World Junior Hockey Cup will be led by Rana Abdul Waheed. Pakistan Hockey Federation sources also confirmed the 18-member national junior hockey squad participating in the World Junior Hockey Cup. The squad is being coached by Danish Kaleem.

Rana Abdul Waheed (captain), Waqar (goalkeeper), Aqeel Ahmed, Rizwan Ali and Moin Shakeel are among the players of the 18-member Pakistan Junior Hockey Team participating in the FIH Junior World Cup to be held from November 24 to December 5 in Bhubaneswar, India. Adeel Latif, Mohammad Hamaduddin Anjum, Abdul Hanan Shahid, Ghazanfar Ali, Umair Sattar, Abdullah Ishtiaq (Goalkeeper) Mohibullah, Abu Dharr, Mohsin Hassan, Abdul Manan, Abdul Rehman, Roman Khan and Mohammad Abdullah. Rana Zaheer Ahmed, Coach Mudassar Ali Khan, Video Analyst Abu Dharr Amrao and Dr. Syed Asad Abbas Shah will perform their professional duties.

The National Junior Hockey Squad will leave for Dubai, India on November 20 by air. The Green Shirts will have to change three flights to reach Bhubaneswar India. The National Hockey Squad will leave for Pakistan on December 6. The Pakistan junior hockey team will play practice matches on November 21 and 22. The practice matches will be played on November 21 against Chile and on November 22 against Canada. According to Secretary General PHF Asif Bajwa, footage of these matches will not be allowed. The national hockey squad will play its first match on November 24 against Germany.
