Army gets the title of Women’s Hockey. 💐
Dhulikhel. Divisional Team Army Club has won the title of sixth Shana Pradhan Memorial National Women’s Hockey Tournament.
Gandaki province was successful to win the title by defeating 4-1 goal in the final match on Tuesday.
Saraswati Tamang scored two goals in Dhulikhel playground to help Army win. Seema Khadka and Kamala Chand scored one by one.
Sita Maya Bal returned one goal for Gandaki there.
Saraswati leads the team by scoring goal in the fourth minute of the game for Army.
Sita scored a goal in the 16th minute of the game for Gandaki. In the 18th minute of the game, Saraswati gave Army a 2-1 lead by scoring a goal.
In the 24th minute of the game, Kamala scored a goal and gave the team a 3-1 lead. In the 57th minute of the game, Seema scored a goal and succeeded in giving the title to Army.
Kamala Chand selected player of the match in the final match.
Army has received one lakh rupees along with the title. Gandaki to be second has achieved 75 thousand.
Far Western Province defeated Madhes Province by 1-0 goal in today’s game for third place.
In the 27th minute of the game for Far West, Babita Urau succeeded in winning the team.
Players who excel in different categories have won 10 thousand prizes in similar competition.
Army’s Saraswati, who scored the highest 10 goals in the competition, succeeded to become the best scorer.
Namita SK from Far Western Province selected emerging player of the competition. Gandakiki Goma Pariyar as best goalkeeper, Army Sarita Meche as best defender and Army’s Neelima Pandey selected player of the tournament.
6 teams participated in the competition including Nepal Army, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Madhesh Province and Far Western Province.
