AHF International High Performance Goal Keepers Training & Coaching Course

The Asian Hockey Federation are very pleased to announce AHF International High Performance Goal Keeper Training & Coaching Course 14-16 March 2018 which will be held alongside the Men’s Asian Games 2018 Qualifier Muscat , Oman 8-17 March 2018.

The course will be organized jointly by the Asian Hockey Federation & Oman Hockey Association will run over four days, from the evening of Tuesday 13 March and morning to close late Friday 16 March. FIH Senior Coach Carel Van Staak from The Netherlands and FIH top experts will conduct the course with Tayyab Ikram, FIH Master Coach, leading the course as Course Director.

The aim of the AHF is to provide a simplified education structure and resource for nations and continents to be able to develop Goal Keeper coaches from grass roots through to a high performance / international level. All nations will have the opportunity to access the program pathway at an appropriate level.

We invite all  National Associations (NA) and Continental Federations to propose their Goal Keepers Coaches, National team & top Club Goal Keepers players to this course. Successful candidates may get an AHF International High Performance Goal Keeper Training & Coaching Course certificate. Excellent candidates may get also a Recommendation to FIH Academy High Performance Coaching Course.

About the AHF Development and Education Program 2018

The Asian Hockey Federation aims to assist the technical staff with the AHF Development and Education Program 2018. The development activities in training coaches, umpires and technical officials are progressing faster than ever with more and more Asian federations taking productive participation in the courses.

The courses are designed to combine experienced people to present the methods to play, coach, officiate and manage the sport of hockey. The participants are exposed to the best strategies and protocols to manage teams and high-level tournaments. The courses are divided into 4 levels: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Umpiring and Coaching along with High Performance. To move through the ranks of coaching, umpiring and technical officials a participant must successfully complete each level.

The aim of the AHF Education and Development Program 2018 is to provide a simplified education structure and resources for AHF Members Nations. All nations will have the opportunity to access the program pathway at an appropriate level.
