The Asian Hockey Federation announced earlier today that it will organize online workshops in collaboration with Raja Ashman Shah Academy & Sultan Azlan Shah Award in the month of December.
These workshops are in memory of the late His Royal Highness Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah of the state of Perak, Malaysia, who was a true leader and pioneer for the sport of hockey in Asia. During his tenure at the helm of Asian hockey, he was the President of the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (1976-2004) and also the President of the Asian Hockey Federation from 1990 until his passing on May 28, 2014. Among his other prominent roles, HRH Sultan Azlan Shah also sat on the Executive Board of the International Hockey Federation.
The Sultan Azlan Shah Award is an initiative of the AHF in consultation with HRH Sultan Nazrin Shah, envisaging to pay tribute to HRH Sultan Azlan Shah with a view to acknowledge, encourage and support outstanding development endeavors of Member National Associations.
In these unprecedented times, the AHF proposed this initiative be brought to an online medium in order to help our National Associations with Coaching, Officiating, and Umpiring.
