Mr Shamsul Bari, who served Bangladesh Hockey Federation as general-secretary, passed away recently. He was a lifetime member of the Asian Hockey Federation and also a former Executive Board member of the AHF.
Hearing the sad news, AHF President Dato Fumio Ogura had this to say:
“Mr Bari was invaluable for Bangladesh Hockey and the Asian Hockey fraternity and he will be missed dearly.”
AHF Cheif Executive, Dato Tayyab Ikram added:
“I am deeply saddened by the news of Mr Bari’s passing. He was an essential part of the Asian Hockey family. He will always live in our hearts. My prayers and well wishes are with his family.”
