The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) successfully conducted its Executive Board Meeting today via Zoom, bringing together members of the Executive Board from across Asia to review progress, exchange views, and take forward key strategic initiatives for the continued development of hockey in the region.
The meeting covered a comprehensive range of agenda items, including governance and administrative matters, updates on ongoing and upcoming continental competitions, development programs, and engagement with international and regional stakeholders. Emphasis was placed on strengthening grassroots and elite pathways, enhancing technical and officiating standards, and ensuring sustainable growth across all AHF member associations.
The Executive Board also reviewed current operational matters and discussed future planning to further improve organizational efficiency and support national federations in their development efforts. The use of digital platforms was once again highlighted as an effective means of ensuring continuity, collaboration, and inclusive participation among member nations.
The President of the International Hockey Federation (FIH), Dato Tayyab Ikram, also addressed the Executive Board, commending the Asian Hockey Federation for its proactive governance and continued efforts to develop hockey across the continent. The FIH President emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between FIH and continental federations, and reaffirmed FIH’s full support for AHF’s initiatives aimed at growing participation, enhancing competition standards, and strengthening the global hockey ecosystem.
AHF President Dato Fumio Ogura underscored the importance of unity, transparency, and long-term vision in advancing Asian hockey, reiterating the Federation’s commitment to working closely with the International Hockey Federation (FIH), continental partners, and national associations to elevate the sport at all levels.
The Executive Board reaffirmed its collective resolve to promote excellence, inclusivity, and professionalism, while continuing to expand opportunities for athletes, officials, and administrators throughout Asia.
