Asian Hockey Federation welcomes new lead partner AirAsia

KUALA LUMPUR, 6 July 2019 – The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) has signed a lead partnership agreement with AirAsia to further develop hockey in Asia.

 

Working with AirAsia, the AHF aims to build a commercial culture within Asian hockey, including attracting big brands to hockey, giving sponsors coverage at events and ensuring all AHF events are designed to deliver optimum commercial value. This partnership also aims beyond the commercial realm, realizing AirAsia’s commitment to the betterment of sport the AHF rightly anticipates a colossal growth of hockey in Asia.

 

The four – year partnership agreement was signed at the Royale Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur here today.

 

“We are delighted that AirAsia is now a lead partner of the Asian Hockey Federation and we hope together we can further develop Hockey in Asia,” said Dato Fumio Ogura, President of Asian Hockey Federation.

 

The AHF Chief Executive, Dato Tayyab Ikram had this to say about the agreement: “We are excited to team up with AirAsia, one of the most successful and loved airlines in Asia. In AirAsia we have found a lead partner who truly shares our vision for future of Hockey in Asia. AirAsia exhibits genuine desire to work towards the advancement of sport in Asian Continent. This new partnership with AirAsia will help us further develop and promote the sport of Hockey in all regions across Asia.”
