Asian Hockey Federation welcomes Saudia Arabia and Timor-Leste as FIH & AHF provisional members!

The Asian Hockey Federation would like to formally extend a warm welcome to the nations of Saudi Arabia & Timor-Leste as the new provisional members of the FIH & AHF.

This marks a great milestone for the Hockey Family, which is now two members stronger!

We look forward to forming new bonds and overcoming new challenges hand-in-hand with Saudi Arabia & Timor-Leste, and to carve a positive future together.

The applications of these two countries to become full FIH Members will be submitted to the next FIH Congress in May 2021.

AHF President, Dato Fumio Ogura, commented: “A very hearty welcome to the nations of Saudi Arabia & Timor-Leste as members of the FIH & AHF! It pleases me immensely to see the International Hockey Family grow larger with the inclusion of our newest members. Together we will work for the development & growth of hockey in these regions and I am sure of a positive future together.”

AHF Chief Executive, Dato Tayyab Ikram said: “I would like to extend my warmest greetings to the nations of Saudi Arabia & Timor-Leste into the Hockey Family. With the induction of Saudi Arabia & Timor-Leste into our Family, we can expect hockey to grow stronger internationally. I promise to work hard for the development & growth of hockey in these regions and look forward to a fantastic working relationship with the Saudi Hockey Federation and the National Hockey Federation of Timor-Leste.
