Day 08 of the Men’s Asian Games Qualifier 2026 delivered another action-packed day at RTAF – Pitch 1, featuring crucial classification matches and gripping semi-final encounters as teams fought for a place in the final.

The day began with the 5–8 classification fixtures. Chinese Taipei secured a narrow 3–2 victory over Thailand in a closely contested match, showcasing composure in key moments. In the second fixture, Bangladesh and Hong Kong China played out an exhilarating 4–4 draw, with Bangladesh emerging victorious 3–2 in the shootout.

The semi-finals brought high drama and intensity. In Semi-Final 1, Oman and Uzbekistan were locked at 4–4 after a thrilling regulation period. Oman held their nerve in the shootout, clinching a 5–4 win to advance to the final.

Semi-Final 2 saw Sri Lanka edge past Indonesia in a tightly fought encounter, securing a 3–2 victory and booking their place in the championship match.

With Oman and Sri Lanka set to face off in the final, the stage is now set for an exciting conclusion to the tournament.
