Having secured 12 points from four wins prior to this match, India really did not have to push themselves to register this win.
India took the lead in the second minute when the penalty corner attempt by Harmanpreet Singh hit the foot of a defender of the goal line and Rupinderpal Singh converted the ensuing penalty stroke with relative ease.
After that three goals were added via Harmanpreet Singh (6th minute) and Akashdeep Singh ( 10th and 11th minutes) for a 4-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Akashdeep completed his hat trick with goals in the 18th and 23rd minutes with Harmanpreet scoring the sixth in between in the 22nd minute and the halftime score was 7-0.
India were rampant in the third quarter as they added another seven goals through the efforts of Vivek Sagar Prasad ( 32nd minute), Akashdeep ( 33rd and 43rd minutes) ( Harmanpreet (34th minute), Mandeep Singh (36th minute) and 44th minute) , Amit Rohidas ( 37th minute) .
