This was the first hockey tournament in Bahrain organized by Ashiq Hussain Gulam Bahraini and Malik Abid Awan from Malik Hockey Club Bahrain. A total of 8 teams participated in the tournament which saw heated matches leading up to the final. The final match of the tournament saw the Saudi Strikers go up against the Young Stars Bahrain. Saudi Strikers won the match by 5-4 on penalties. The 3rd place position match took place between Saudi Legends and MOI Public Security Hockey Team, which team MOI won by 4-3.
Chief Guests of the tournament included: Shiekh Yousaf Aldosri, Mr. Ziaab Shakir, Dr. Yousaf Al Qadsiya and Sir Mia Shahid. The Chief Guests presented the awards in a ceremony that took place after the final match.
