For the training of the selected players of the national team to participate in the Asian Champions Trophy to be held in Chennai, India from August 3 to 12. On this occasion, the manager of the national team, Colonel R Umar Sabir, coaches Olympian Rehan Butt, Olympian Mohammad Saqlain, Olympian Dilawar Hussain, Olympian Hussain visited the camp. Apart from M Khan, goalkeeper coaches Abdul Ghafoor and Amjad Ali, team management and players were present. Olympian Shehbaz Ahmed Sr. met the players, encouraged them, gave tips and lectured in the light of his experiences. While talking to the players, he said that the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy is a big event in which all the players should perform with their full potential. Must be a team combination. If all the players perform with hard work, good result will come. He further said that this is a welcome thing and it is a good move by Chairman Selection Committee Olympian Kaleemullah Khan and the selection committee that they have included senior and junior players in the selected national team, which will make the team combination good and will prove useful in the future. The hard work of the coaching staff is also visible from which the players are getting to learn. Especially in the field of goalkeeping, the hard work of Abdul Ghafoor and Amjad Ali is visible.
It should be noted that with the support of Sports Board Punjab and DHA Lahore, all facilities are being provided to the players in the camp, while the members of the selection committee, Olympian Nasir Ali and Olympian Shakeel Abbasi, are giving tips and guiding the players in the light of their experiences.
