Hong Kong China 5 v Cambodia 0
Hong Kong China had been preparing for this important tournament to find a place in the Asian Games 2023.
The team (WR: 42) faced Cambodia (WR:63) in a match that looked more promising for the team coached by Arifali. Although both teams came as prepared as possible for this tournament, the differences on the field and more so with a young Cambodia team, could be reflected in the result.
The first goal came after 10 minutes from a penalty corner for Evelyn Cheung. This is how HKC, which was superior, sealed the first goal for their team.
Cambodia tried to close spaces without much success, as the HKC players opened the game and played across the width of the field. The second goal was not long in coming and 2 minutes later Cheuk Tung Yick deflected a ball after a penalty corner to put his team 2-0 on the scoreboard.
At the end of the second quarter, Sze Sze Chuen, after a series of rebounds after the penalty corner, made it 3-0 to widen the gap even more.
Beyond the number you could see an offensive difference between the team led by Evelyn Cheung and the team led by Eng SREY SROS.
The girls in blue were trying to stop their rival but in the 43rd minute Ka Mun Melissa La found the ball next to the goal after a failed penalty corner attempt to make it 4-0.
3 minutes later the same player received a cross from outside the box to push it into the goal again and make the final score 5-0 for the girls in red.
The best player of the match was undoubtedly the number 4, Kathrine Mpuntain, the experienced player from Hong Kong China who always performs very well on the field whenever she plays.
The winners will play tomorrow against Uzbekistan and those led by Rana ASIF MAQSOOD will play against Sri Lanka who promises a lot in this tournament.
