The final day of the Men’s Junior AHF Cup 2026 delivered exciting action in Taldykorgan as the classification matches concluded and the tournament approached its finale, with Korea leading Uzbekistan 4–0 in the Gold Medal Match at the end of the third quarter.
Earlier in the day, Iran finished the tournament in seventh place after defeating Tajikistan 3–0 in the 7th/8th Place Playoff.
In the 5th/6th Place Playoff, Indonesia produced a strong performance to overcome Sri Lanka 4–2, securing fifth place. Indonesia’s attacking quality was once again on display, with the team ending the tournament on a positive note after a competitive campaign.
The Bronze Medal Match saw hosts Kazakhstan defeat Thailand 3–0, earning a well-deserved third-place finish. Backed by home support, Kazakhstan delivered an impressive all-round performance to finish the tournament on the podium.
The tournament’s showpiece Gold Medal Match between Korea and Uzbekistan has lived up to expectations, with Korea taking control of the contest. At the end of the third quarter, the unbeaten Koreans hold a 4–0 advantage as they move closer to capturing the Men’s Junior AHF Cup 2026 title.
