Lahore – In a memorable event held at the National Hockey Stadium, legendary Olympian Tauqeer Dar presented a special souvenir to Dutch hockey icon and penalty corner specialist Floris Jan Bovelander, during his visit to the Khawaja Junaid Hockey Academy.
The training session, organized by the Khawaja Junaid Hockey Academy, also included the enthusiastic participation of players from Dar Hockey Academy, who had the unique opportunity to train under Bovelander’s guidance.
The event was further honored by the presence of former World Cup Gold Medalist Rana Ehsan Ullah, Khawaja Junaid, and the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Pakistan, Henny de Vries, symbolizing the growing friendship and cooperation between the hockey communities of both nations.
On this occasion, Tauqeer Dar congratulated both the Khawaja Junaid Academy and the Embassy of the Netherlands for making this initiative possible.
“Hockey is our national sport, and it’s time everyone pays attention to it,” said Dar, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to revive the game in Pakistan.
