Yangoon, Myanmar: Chinese Taipei look the most dominating team throughout the tournament but after defeating hosts Myanmar 3-1 it seems they may have a tough opponent in the hosts. Taipei will face Hong Kong China. Their first match against each other saw a 3-1 victory to Taipei. This match should bring out the best in both teams.
The first goal came from Hsi-Fan Chen on the 16th minute of the second quarter. Ching-Chieh secured the second goal on the 33rd minute not giving much time to Myanmar to comeback and they couldn’t. The third goal came on the 54th minute which sprouted some energy from the captain Htut Win who scored on the final minute of the game to make it 3-1 for Myanmar.
Whereas, Hong Kong China gripped the match after defeating Brunei 5-0. The goals never stopped after the deadlock was broken on the 17th minute by Felix Chi Him with Siddick Iqbal following up on the 32nd minute with another field goal. The third goal came just after a few minutes through a penalty corner swiftly taken by Felix Chi Him to complete his brace for the game. Shung-Yin scored the final goal of the game on the 36th minute which gave Brunei a huge mountain to climb. But after several attempts at goal, Brunei couldn’t break the Chinese defense.
