National Under-16 Hockey Championship starts today in Peshawar, Pakistan

The draw for the National Under-16 Hockey Championship has been announced. The opening match will be played on November 28 between Sindh A and Punjab (C). The 12 teams have been divided into two pools. The final of the event will be played on December 10.

Under the Youth Hockey Development Vision under the auspices of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, the National Under-16 Hockey Championship for the development and promotion of the national game will be played in Peshawar from November 28 to December 10. In this regard, tournament director Syed Muhammad Zahir Shah has released the draw of the event. Held under the PHF Youth Hockey Development Vision, four teams from Punjab while two teams each from KPK, Balochistan and Sindh will participate in the mega event. One team each from Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir are participating in the event. The participating teams are divided into two pools. Pool A includes Punjab A, KPKB, Sindh A, Punjab C, Balochistan B and Azad Jammu and Kashmir while Pool B includes Punjab B, KPKA, Sindh B, Punjab D, Balochistan A and Islamabad teams are included. Three matches will be played on the opening day of the event.

The first match will be played between Sindh A and Punjab C on November 28 at 10:00 AM, the second between Balochistan A and Islamabad at 12:00 PM and the third between Sindh B and Punjab D at 2:00 PM.

Organizing Secretary Syed Zahir Shah said that preparations for the event have been completed.
