The Oman Olympic Academy, under the umbrella of the Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), concluded the course “Sports Institutions Governance in the Age of Digital Transformation”, held from 29 September to 1 October 2025. The programme brought together participants from various sports sectors as part of ongoing efforts to modernize administrative practices in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.
The course was delivered by Khalifa bin Saif Al-Issai, Advisor to Private Associations at the Office of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Sports and Youth Affairs. Over three days, participants engaged in lectures, practical exercises, and interactive discussions aimed at strengthening their understanding and application of governance principles within sports management.
Key topics covered included the concepts and tools of governance, its connection with digital transformation and Oman Vision 2040, as well as an overview of regional and international best practices. The programme also provided a valuable platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences on effective governance approaches for sports institutions in Oman.
By the end of the course, participants had acquired practical skills to apply governance principles, make better use of digital technologies in sports administration, and expand their professional networks within the sector.
This initiative marked an important step in advancing governance and innovation across Oman’s sports management landscape.
