Salalah Club was crowned champion of the Women’s Hockey Five-a-Side competition as part of the Omani Women’s Sports Games 2025, organized by the Women’s Sports Department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in cooperation with the Oman Hockey Association. The tournament witnessed intense competition among the participating clubs, with Ahli Sidab Club finishing in second place and Masirah Club securing third place.
Khawla Al-Rawahi, Director of the Women’s Sports Department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, expressed her delight with the successful organization of the Hockey Five-a-Side Championship within the framework of the 2025 Omani Women’s Sports Games. She noted that the competition showcased outstanding technical performances delivered by players from various clubs in an atmosphere of fair play and high sportsmanship.
Al-Rawahi affirmed that the players presented remarkable performances that reflected the progress of women’s sports in Oman. She also praised the female refereeing teams for their professionalism and high technical standards, which demonstrated their competence and deserved trust.
She added: “We take pride in Oman in having qualified and empowered female cadres who are capable of managing sports tournaments with confidence and excellence, in a competitive environment that respects Omani women’s values and strengthens their presence in the national sports scene.”
