The SAF Games 2016 are well underway. All of the teams are trying their best to prove their worth in the hockey stadium of Guwahati. The hockey matches which commenced on the 7th, in the Moullana MD. Tayabullah Hockey Stadium, Bhetapura, are nearing the end with the final match on the 12th of February. The breakup of the matches up till now can be seen below.

Among the Women’s hockey teams, India is still ahead of the other teams with two victories to its name. In the third match, which took place between Nepal and Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka came out as the winner with 15 goals. In the fourth match, the Indian Women’s Hockey team proved yet again that it is the best by scoring ten goals against one.
The Men’s Hockey matches are also going on in full swing. In the fifth match of the tournament, Bangladesh was defeated by Pakistan as Pakistan was successful in scoring six goals. Pakistan is still outshining the other teams after securing three wins. The sixth match, which took place between India and Sri Lanka was won by India. With Pakistan at the top with three wins and India following close behind with two wins, the final match is to be set against India and Pakistan. This will be the final Men’s hockey match of the tournament. The match is expected to be quite an interesting one given the teams that will be playing in the finals. India and Pakistan will be pitted against each other in one of the most anticipated matches as hockey fans of both countries hold on to the hopes of their favorite team securing the win.
