The start of the second hockey tournament in Ramadan

Organized by the Union in its second edition at the official stadium of the Federation in the American School of Creativity in Sharjah.
The opening was attended by Major General Saif Al-Zari Al-Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Abdullah Sultan Al-Dah, Chairman of the Hockey Federation, Khaled Murad, Secretary General of the Federation, and Ahmed Saeed Al-Swedi, Chairman of the Technical Committee, and Mona El-Ghazal, Chairman of the Women’s Committee.
The first day saw 4 matches with Sharjah Police beating Shima 5-2 and Golden 7-1 while Aspeter beating Golden 3-1 and Hi 8-4.
Matches continue daily at the same stadium, and 10 teams participate in the tournament are Sharjah Police, People, Golden Eagles, Shima, UTSC, Lucknor, Speter, Tigers, United Emirates and Dadabai. The first stage is held with a league system of one round on two groups and the first and second from each group qualify for the semi-finals.
The Hockey Federation headed by Abdullah Sultan Al-Dah observed cash and cash awards to the winners, with 3 awards allocated with a trophy to the teams with the bases from first to third, and 6 more awards for the best goalkeeper, defender, scorer of the tournament, emerging player, ideal team and best player of the tournament.
Major General Saif Al-Zari Al-Shamsi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police, praised the efforts of the Hockey Federation, and said during his presence at the start of the tournament, the fingerprints of the Hockey Federation are clear on the activity at the state level, to highlight this game, to find support, to keep up with its activity, and the continuation of the Ramadan cycle for the second consecutive year, confirming the success of the Federation, Supposedly all institutions support any union in the country, and the General Leadership of Sharjah Police, is keen to support the Hockey Federation, and hope that the competition will extend at the Gulf and Arab levels, especially that the game belongs to a certain category in the Asian communities and nationalities it is distinguished by.
He added that the continuation of the tournament is a great gain, and everyone is hopeful that the federation will publish the game, and succeed in the teamwork system, noting that Sharjah Police won the second place in the previous edition, and we hope to get the first in the current edition, and most importantly, that the tournament will achieve its goals.
