The Tokyo Oi Hockey Stadium Ready to Go!

This sports venue that was built inside the Oi Central Seaside Park Sports Forest and will host all Olympic Hockey games. Construction for the stadium began in late 2018 and was finished by June 2020. The officially inaugurated was on August 17, 2020.

It is situated in the waterfront area of Tokyo Bay, 5-10-minute walk from Oi Keibajo Station on the Tokyo Monorail and a 20-minute walk from Tachiaigawa Station on the Keikyu Line.

The Oi Hockey Stadium will contain two competition fields. The main pitch is an artificial turf equipped with a permanent stand with about 10,000 seats, an electric bulletin board, and night lighting equipment. Also, the roof covering the spectators’ seats blocks rain and strong summer sunlight where you can comfortably watch the competition. Meanwhile, the second pitch has approximately 5.000 spectator seats, which have been renovated from existing facilities. It is an artificial turf equipped with night lighting equipment.

The opening Olympic match will be between the Japanese men against Australia on July 24th, 2021.

After the Olympics Games, the venue will be a multi-purpose sports space.
