Third Chief of Naval Staff Cup All Pakistan Hockey Tournament: Pakistan Hockey Federation has appointed event umpires and officials; Olympian Nasir Ali will be the tournament director and Masood-ur-Rehman will be the umpires’ manager.
According to details, the third Chief of Naval Staff Cup in collaboration with the Pakistan Hockey Federation and Naval Sports Directorate will be played in Karachi from August 1 to 8 with all its members. The event’s defending champion team, the National Bank, is committed to defending its title. The Pakistan Hockey Federation has issued invitations and instructions to the top eight teams of the PHF rankings to participating in the event. The Pakistan Hockey Federation has appointed umpires and technical officials to conduct the event in accordance with the rules of the International Hockey Federation. Pride of Performance Olympian Nasir Ali will be the tournament director while Aslam Khan Niazi (Hyderabad) and Javed Iqbal (Karachi) will be the assistant tournament directors.
Among the tournament officers are Mubashir Mukhtar (HBL), Dr. SA Majid (Karachi), Dr. Abdul Rasool Januri (Dadu), Murtaza Dhot (Khairpur), Ghulam Mustafa (Hyderabad), Asim Khan (Karachi), Zahid Mahmood (Karachi), Anis Khan (Karachi), Wakiluddin Qazi (Karachi) and Tariq Khan (Karachi). Masood-ur-Rehman (Karachi) will be the umpires’ manager while Mohsin Ali Khan (Karachi) will be the assistant umpires’ manager. Umpiring panel includes Abdul Manan (Hyderabad), Fahad Ali Khan (Karachi), Haroon Rashid (Peshawar), Waqas Ahmed Butt (WAPDA), Mazhar Wasim (Nankana), Irfan Ali Dhot (Khairpur).
Muhammad Junaid (Karachi) and Haider Hussain (Karachi) have been appointed for event coordination with Pakistan Hockey Federation. The meeting of event officials will be held at Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium Karachi on July 31 at 3:00 pm under the chairmanship of Tournament Director Olympian Nasir Ali while the meeting of managers and coaches will be held at 4:00 pm.
