UniKL 3 PDRM Blue Warriors 0

UniKL Ladies continued to excel in their debut appearance when they edged out the PDRM Blue Warriors with a comfortable 3-0 victory in the second match of the TNB Malaysia Hockey League (Women) 2021 at the Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium.

The victory put UniKL Ladies as the League leader despite being tied by 6 points with Sabah which had a big win over Mutiara Juniors PSHA before that.

UniKL Ladies started moving the attacking engine faster after the first half and managed to control 60 percent of the match until the end.

Nur Afiqh Syahzani Azhar’s field goal in the 37th minute paved the way for UniKL Ladies to continue the pressure on PDRM Blue Warriors.

Two goals in two minutes by Norzalin Sumantri in the 54th minute and Tuan Nurhidayah Tuan Is gave a comfortable victory to UniKL Ladies who are expected to face another fierce competition against the Uniten-KPT SME selection team this Saturday.

PKS Uniten-KPT 3 Young Tigress 0

PKS Uniten-KPT ensured no more full points by beating Young Tigress 3-0 to occupy third place in the League after two matches.

However, after nine minutes, PKS Uniten-KPT started to show real ability and managed to score the opponent’s goal through Nurul Faezah Syafiqah Khalim’s field goal.

However, they had to wait until the third quarter before adding a goal through Nur Aisyah Yaacob’s penalty corner in the 32nd minute before Aisyah Yaacob added another goal to ensure the full three points belonged to PKS Uniten-KPT.

Sabah 9 Mutiara Juniors PSHA 0

Iren Hussin’s hat-trick to lead Sabah to a big 9-0 victory over Mutiara Juniors PSHA and inject their spirit when they face three difficult matches after this.

The full three -point victory took Sabah to second place with a total of six points, sharing the points with UniKL Ladies who lead the League with a goal advantage.

National player Iren Hussin blasted a hat-trick in the 5th, 10th and 60th minutes, placing herself in the group of three hat-trick scorers of the tournament so far. UniKL Ladies Hanis players Nadia Onn and Nuraini Abd Rashid are two players who previously emerged as hat -trick scorers.

Dayangku Arna Fazirah Awang Latip’s two goals in the 13th and 25th minutes added to the misery of Mutiara Juniors who had previously suffered a big 17-0 defeat at the hands of UniKL Ladies last Monday.

One goal each from a penalty corner from Inka Shafika Juani (42nd minute) and Nor Asfarina Isahyifika Isahhidun (53rd minute) as well as a field goal by Sufiamira Basri completed Sabah’s big victory.

Hatchery scorer Iren Hussin was happy to score three goals and thanked his teammates for their support. “Even though we are a young team prepared for Sukma 2022 in Johor, we are happy to compete with a stronger team,” he said.
