Lahore: October 25, 20 (Sports One / Shafqat Malik) Under the auspices of Pakistan Hockey Federation, four matches were played on the third day of National Tray Hockey Championship on Sunday, October 25.
The first match was played at Mari Petroleum vs Balochistan at 9 o’clock on Patch No. 2. In which Mari Petroleum defeated Balochistan hockey team by 8 goals to 0.
The second match was played between Punjab and Islamabad in which Punjab won by 11 goals to nil.
The third match was played between PAF and HEC in which PAF won by 4 goals to nil.
The fourth and final match of the day was played between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won by 12 goals to one.
President Punjab Hockey Association Khawar Anwar Khawaja and Col. (retd) Muhammad Asif Niaz Khokhar were the special guests of the match. The special guest in the second match was Governor of Rotary District 3272 Muhammad Tazeem Ahmed Kamboh.
Three matches will be played on Monday, October 26. The first match will be played between Sindh and Gilgit at 11 am, the second match will be played between KP and HEC at 1 pm and the third and final match will be played between Punjab and Balochistan at 3 pm. All of tomorrow’s matches will be played on National Hockey Stadium Pitch No. 2 and all these matches will be telecast live on the official YouTube channel of Pakistan Hockey Federation.
During all the matches played, the chairman of the selection committee of the Pakistan Hockey Federation, Olympian Manzoor Hussain Jr. and other members Olympian Ayaz Mahmood, Olympian Nasir Ali, Olympian Khalid Hameed, Olympian and Wasim Feroze watched all the matches and reviewed the technical abilities of the players.
