UAE Minister of Sport, Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, met with national sports federation presidents to discuss priorities for the new 2024–2028 cycle. He congratulated the recently appointed boards and urged intensified efforts to strengthen both competitive and community sports, in line with the National Sports Strategy 2031.
Al Falasi highlighted the importance of teamwork, women’s participation—now exceeding 20% of federation boards—and the inclusion of international experts to enhance athlete development and attract global events. He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting federations with resources to nurture local talent and promote healthy lifestyles, key to building a sustainable sports culture in the UAE.
