The Women’s Asian Games Qualifier 2026 got underway in Jakarta with an exciting opening day of matches at Pitch 1, as teams began their campaigns with strong intent and competitive spirit.

Day 01 featured four Pool matches across Pool A and Pool B, delivering a mix of high-scoring encounters and closely fought battles.

In Pool A, Chinese Taipei and Bangladesh played out a thrilling 5–5 draw in one of the most exciting matches of the day, with both sides showcasing attacking flair. Meanwhile, Hong Kong China secured a 5–0 win over Uzbekistan via forfeit.

Pool B action saw Indonesia edge past Kazakhstan with a narrow 2–1 victory in a competitive contest. In the final match of the day, Singapore claimed a hard-fought 2–1 win against Sri Lanka, closing the day on a strong note.

With the tournament now underway, teams will look to build momentum as the race for qualification intensifies in Jakarta.
