India opened the tournament with an impressive 8–3 victory over Kazakhstan in the Elite Pool. A clinical attacking display saw India claim all three points to make a strong start to their campaign.

In the Challenger Pool, Pakistan produced a dominant performance to defeat hosts Oman 6–0, showcasing their attacking quality and defensive discipline to begin the tournament on a winning note.

China delivered the biggest win of the day, overpowering Uzbekistan 12–0 in a commanding Elite Pool performance. The Chinese side demonstrated excellent teamwork and finishing to record an emphatic victory.
