Women’s Junior AHF Cup Taldykorgan 2022 concludes with a dazzling closing ceremony
The closing ceremony was held today on 20 Oct 2022 in celebration of the conclusion of Women’s Junior AHF Cup 2022. The ceremony was held at Taldykorgan hockey stadium, where the tournament took place.
The closing ceremony was attended by the dignitaries and many prominent personalities from Kazakhstan including Deputy Mayor of Taldykorgan City Mr Dias Akhmetkaliyev, Sport Minister of Jetesy Region Mr Almat Uskimbirov, President Kazakhstan Hockey Federation Mr Berikkazy Seksenbayev, Vice-President of Kazakhstan Hockey Federation Mr Makhmud Orman, Secretary General Kazakhstan Hockey Federation Mr Serik Kalimbaev. The international delegations included Secretary General Indonesia Hockey Federation Mr Yasser Arafat Suaidy, President Tajikistan Hockey Federation Ms Ekaterina Yusupova, and Mr Muzaffar Murodov from Uzbekistan Hockey Federation. The dignitaries presented the souvenirs and awards to the participating teams.
Top Scorer of the Tournament: Chinese Taipei no.17 Huang Yi-Chun
Best Coach of the Tournament: Kazakhstan Nurzhan Beibitov
Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament: Kazakhstan no.1 Dilnaz Olzhabayeva
Best Player of the Tournament: Chinese Taipei no.2 Wang Yu-Chin
Based on the valuable contribution for development of hockey, the Asian Hockey Federation presented the Special Appreciation Awards to Dias Akhmetkaliyev – Deputy Mayor of Taldykorgan City, Aset Masabayev – Mayor of Taldykorgan City received on his behalf by Dias Akhmetkaliyev – Deputy Mayor of Taldykorgan City and Rustam Ali – Deputy Mayor of Jetesy Region.
Special Recognition Award was presented to Chinese Taipei for their exceptional effort to participate in the tournament and contribute to the women’s development.
Certificates for their participation were presented to all the participating teams.
The final standings of the teams are as follows:
- Kazakhstan: Champions/ Gold
- Chinese Taipei: Silver
- Uzbekistan: Bronze
- Indonesia
- Hong Kong China
- Tajikistan
Playing at their home, Kazakhstan lifted the trophy and won the gold medal in the tournament, followed by the silver won by Chinese Taipei and the bronze by Uzbekistan.
