In a significant stride towards a brighter future, the “Give Back to Forest” initiative, part of the FIH Sustainability Strategy, was organized by the Dar Hockey Academy . This noble project saw enthusiastic participation from hockey athletes, local community members, Pakistan Veterans Hockey Club officials and distinguished guests, all committed to environmental conservation.
The event was graced by living legend Qasim Khan , Former olympion ,captain Tahir Zaman, Director Asian Hockey Federation Ghulam Ghous, Abid Sherwani Director General UMT, Amer Shiekh CEO CITI Bread, M Ayub Chuadhary, International M. Shahid,Tahir Ch, Rana Nadeem Anjum Divisional sports officer, Masood ur rehman and Hamid Shiekh joined the young athletes, emphasizing the importance of forming a sustainable and healthy environment for future generations.
A highlight of the day was the planting of 500 trees at the at National Hockey Stadium Hockey Venue. Each tree planted symbolizes hope, growth, and a commitment to nurturing the environment.
