Singapore, June 23, 2024 – Bangladesh claimed a historic victory, defeating China 4-2 in the final match of the Men’s Junior AHF Cup held in Singapore. The thrilling encounter at the Singapore Hockey Stadium marked a significant achievement for Bangladesh as they showcased exceptional skill and determination to secure the championship title.

The final began with both teams demonstrating high energy and tactical prowess. Bangladesh struck first in the 10th minute with a goal from forward setting the tone for the match. Building on their momentum, Bangladesh doubled their lead in the 18th minute when midfielder  scored with a well-executed penalty corner.

China, determined to fight back, managed to pull one back in the 25th minute with a goal from forward, making the score 2-1. However, Bangladesh quickly responded with another goal from Ahmed Shafiq in the 30th minute, securing a 3-1 lead as the teams headed into halftime.

The second half saw China intensifying their efforts to close the gap. Their persistence paid off in the 40th minute when midfielder Wang Jun scored, bringing the score to 3-2. The match continued with high intensity, as both teams created multiple scoring opportunities.

In the 55th minute, Bangladesh sealed their victory with a spectacular goal from forward Kamal Hossain, making it 4-2. Despite China’s relentless attacks in the final minutes, Bangladesh’s defense held firm, ensuring a memorable win for the team.

Singapore, June 23, 2024 – Kazakhstan displayed an impressive performance, defeating Hong Kong China with a decisive 5-1 victory in the Men’s Junior AHF Cup held in Singapore. The match, played at the Singapore Hockey Stadium, showcased Kazakhstan’s tactical superiority and offensive strength.the game began with both teams demonstrating strong defensive strategies, but Kazakhstan quickly gained the upper hand. In the 10th minute, forward opened the scoring with a precise shot. Kazakhstan continued to dominate, and in the 18th minute, midfielder  doubled their lead with a powerful strike. Despite efforts from Hong Kong China to counterattack, Kazakhstan’s defense remained solid. The first half ended with Kazakhstan leading 2-0.The second half saw Kazakhstan intensifying their offensive play. In the 35th minute, forward scored, making it 3-0. Hong Kong China managed to score in the 42nd minute with a goal from forward  giving them a brief moment of hope. However, Kazakhstan quickly responded with another goal from midfielder  in the 48th minute. The final goal came in the 55th minute from defender , sealing a comprehensive 5-1 victory for Kazakhstan.

Thailand Edges Out Chinese Taipei in Shootout to Win Bronze in Men’s Junior AHF Cup 2024

Singapore, June 23, 2024 – In a dramatic bronze medal match at the Men’s Junior AHF Cup, Thailand triumphed over Chinese Taipei with a 3-2 victory in a thrilling shootout. The match, held at the Singapore Hockey Stadium, was a nail-biting affair that captivated fans until the very last moment.The match began with both teams showcasing their skills and determination, making it clear that the contest for the bronze medal would be fiercely competitive. Thailand took the lead in the 15th minute with a goal from forward Somchai Rattanapong, but Chinese Taipei quickly responded, equalizing in the 22nd minute through midfielder The second half saw both teams intensifying their efforts. Thailand regained the lead in the 38th minute with a goal from midfielder Noppadon Suksan, but Chinese Taipei leveled the score again in the 50th minute with a strike from forward Lin Shu-Hao. Despite numerous attempts from both sides to break the deadlock, the match ended 2-2, pushing the contest into a shootout.

The shootout was a test of nerves for both teams, with each player stepping up to make their mark. Thailand’s goalkeeper, Apichai Puttikorn, emerged as the hero, making crucial saves that kept his team in the game.
