Certificate in Exercise Medicine organised by Asia College Exercise & Sports Medicine with the collaboration of AHF Raja Ashman Shah Hockey Academy in conjunction with the 64th National Day on Sunday, 29th August 2021 at 3.00 pm
The second edition of the certification was held specifically for the southern and eastern zones for Sabah and Sarawak on 29 August 2021. 59 participants attended the certification.
The first edition of this certification was organized on 14 and 15 August for the Northern zone comprising of Perils, Penang, Kedah and Perak with a total of 34 participants.
The courses served a great deal of knowledge for sports teachers, coaches, and even laymen. This included principles of exercise which can help minimise, control or manage health condition. The importance of exercise was highlighted in detail.

- Exercise Medicine & Sudden Death
- Non-Communicable Disease
- Physical Assessment
- Body Fat Control
- Exercise Biomechanics
- Cardio Machine & Maximum Voluntary Contraction
The Chief Executive of the Asian Hockey Federation Dato’ Tayyab Ikram was invited to address the closing ceremony of the certification. He discussed the importance of exercise relevant to medicine in detail. He thanked all the organizing authorities and appreciated their efforts to bring such distinguished knowledge to the sportspersons.
On behalf of Asian Hockey Federation, Dato’ Tayyab extended appreciation to the esteemed directors, HRH Dato’ Seri Yong Sofea Binti Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah and MDM Haniza Zaharudin and Professor Dr Muhammad Lee, CEO of Asia College of Exercise & Sports Medicine for its collaboration with AHF Raja Ashman Shah Hockey Academy.
