Sports Authority of India continued their rich vein of form, registering a second emphatic win on the second day of the 1st Hockey India Senior Women Inter-Department National Championship 2021 here in Kolkata today.
After their demolition job against Defence Accounts Sports control Board in the Pool A opener, SAI took on UCO Bank Women’s Hockey Academy, winning 12-0. SAI captain Manisha Chauhan (18′, 39′, 45′) and Jyoti (49′, 52′, 54′) bagged a hat trick each with Tanya (28′, 56′), Anjali Mahto (33′, 50′) and Gayatri Kissan (38′, 46′) snagging a brace each. The win keeps SAI at the top of Pool A with six points.
In the second Pool A game, Railway Sports Promotion Board emphatically beat Defence Accounts Sports Control Board 33-0. Preeti Dubey (4′, 7′, 47′, 51′, 52′, 58′) and Priyanka Wankhede 11′, 39′, 44′, 54, 55′, 57′) scored an astonishing six goals each in the rout. Punam Barla (17′, 19′, 19′, 22′, 34′), Devika Sen (21′, 31′, 35′, 45′) and H Lalruatfeli (39′, 43′, 50′) also registered hat tricks, Amrinder Kaur (13’ 53’) Ritu (2’, 30’), Birajini Ekka (14’, 42’), Captain Anupa Barla (45’, 46’) and Shilpi Divas (10’), as RSPB stamped their credentials in their first game of the championship.

In the Pool B match, Central Civil Services Cultural And Sports Board impressed with a massive 19-0 win. Karishma Singh (8′, 15′, 24′, 58′), Jaspreet Kaur (10′, 11′, 50′, 53′, 57), Captain Ritu Rani (23′, 31′, 36′, 55′), Sonika (27′), Narinder Kaur (30′, 60′), Manjeet Rawal (32′, 42′) and Jyoti Dahiya (45′) scored in the team’s emphatic win.
