Hi-Tech Under – 17 Hockey Tournament concludes.

Dar Hockey Academy won the Hi-Tech Under-17 Hockey Tournament under the auspices of Sports Board Punjab. Congratulations to the winning team of PHF Secretary General Olympian Asif Bajwa. After an interesting contest in the final, Dar Hockey Academy defeated Fayyaz Hockey Academy Sargodha 3-1. Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Olakh congratulated the winning team.

Appreciating the performance of other teams participating in the tournament, ADG Sports Punjab said that Sports Board Punjab would continue to organize similar tournaments in collaboration with Pakistan Hockey Federation for the promotion and development of Punjab Hockey. The final match of the Hi-Tech Under-17 Hockey Tournament was played at the National Hockey Stadium. A fierce contest was played between the two teams. Fayyaz Academy equalized in the 24th minute when Muhammad Shoaib equalized on a penalty corner. In the 47th minute of the match, Abdul Rehman scored on a penalty corner and took the lead in the match. In the 49th minute, Dar Hockey Academy’s Muhammad Arsalan scored a field goal to establish a decisive lead in the match.

In the closing ceremony, the winning team of Dar Hockey Academy received a prize of Rs. 200,000 and a trophy, second place winner Fayyaz Hockey Academy Sargodha Rs. 100,000, third place winner Tahir Zaman Hockey Academy Rs. 50,000 and fourth place winner Aslam Roda Hockey. The academy was awarded Rs. 25,000. The Man of the Match award of the final was given to Dar Hockey Academy’s Sufyan and the best goalkeeper of the tournament Abdul Rehman Kodas.
