Olympian Tariq Aziz 11 won the match 4-3 against Olympian Manzoor Junior 11. The winner team was awarded the Olympian Abdul Hameedi Trophy. The scorers from the winning team were Hannan Shahid, Shajan, Minhal Khan and Arslan while the scorers from the other team were Ghulam Mustafa, Yahya Najeeb and Umar Hassan. Arslan was the Man of the Match and received a top notch hockey stick on his talent. Gulzaib was the Best Goalkeeper and received a kit. Fiaz was named as the emerging player of the match while Hafiz Azmat was selected as the Best Striker and both got awarded splendid grippers on their excellent performance.
Director Coaching and Development Ghulam Ghous spoke about the importance of Pakistan’s performance in
the history of Olympics. He narrated the number of awards Pakistan has won since it started participating. Then, he gave a lecture about the advantages of sports including etiquettes, manners, dedication and commitment which any game promotes and told how they shape up the lives of athletes in a positive way. He also told how vital education is for a person and named it as a primary priority.
There were some great, honorable guests who joined on this memorable occasion. The Chief Guest was Tahir ul Hassan(Vice Principal of FG Degree College Okara).
