Korea Hockey Association President Lee Sang-Hyeon visited the women’s national team preparing for the Asian Champions Trophy in December and delivered the gold medal and encouraged them.
The women’s national team, led by coach Han Jin-soo, is training at Hakseon Hockey Stadium in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do to prepare for the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy, which will kick off on December 5 in Donghae, Gangwon-do.
Chairman Lee Sang-Hyun met with the national team on the 16th and said, “It is very emotional to visit the practice site of the national team players who are training hard even in cold weather. I hope it will be an opportunity.”
Six countries including Korea, Japan, China, India, Malaysia and Thailand will participate in the Asian Championship Trophy.
This competition is expected to be an opportunity to check skills in preparation for the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou.
At the Asian Champions Trophy, which is the sixth time this year, Korea has won the championship three times, in 2010, 2011 and 2018.
