Italy has revealed the official posters for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, created by artists Olimpia Zagnoli and Carolina Altavilla, during a special event at the Triennale di Milano. The designs celebrate the fusion of urban Milanese modernity and alpine Cortina beauty, reflecting what organisers describe as “the spirit of destiny” and the dual identity of the upcoming Games.
Zagnoli’s poster, “Olympic Vision,” features a stylised figure with glasses shaped like the Olympic rings, blending vivid colours and minimalist forms to represent the diversity and excitement of the Games. The piece pays tribute to both Milan and Cortina, combining retro aesthetics with contemporary energy.
Altavilla’s “Untitled” poster for the Paralympic Games captures dynamic movement across six winter disciplines, with figures flowing between the Duomo of Milan and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Her work celebrates inclusion and Paralympic values — courage, determination, inspiration, and equality — through organic forms and vibrant tones.
Both posters are now exhibited at the Triennale Design Museum alongside the official Olympic torches and are available as limited-edition prints via the official Milano Cortina 2026 online store.
The unveiling is part of the Milano Cortina 2026 Artist Programme, a cultural initiative led by the Organising Committee and the Olympic Museum that unites art, sport, and community engagement. The programme reaffirms Italy’s belief in art as a central pillar of Olympism — where creativity and athletic spirit meet to tell a shared national and universal story.
