We are deeply saddened to report the loss of life of Mr. Thomas Mumba, General Secretary of Zambia Hockey Association. He was a distinguished legend of hockey. Indeed, this is a sad moment not only for Zambia Hockey but for the global hockey fraternity. We have always seen him loving and serving hockey like none other.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones at this most testing of times.
Dato Tayyab Ikram had the following thoughts: “I am deeply distressed upon hearing this news. He was not just an invaluable asset to the African hockey family, but an excellent human being and a cardinal member of the global hockey fraternity. His services to the national hockey association of Zambia and the African Hockey Federation can never be overlooked. He will always live in our hearts, and we will cherish his memories for times to come.”
