The Asian Hockey Federation condoles the passing away of Mr Mahamudur Rahman Momin, who held many important positions in Bangladesh Hockey including the General Secretary of the Federation. He is also regarded as the founder of the national hockey federation of Bangladesh. He passed away today on 05 July 2021.
Offering condolence, President AHF Fumio Ogura said: “I grieve the demise of Mr Mahmudur Rahman. He was a fine man who served hockey well. He will always be remembered.”
Expressing his grief over the matter, AHF Chief Executive & Secretary General, Dato Tayyab Ikram said: “It sorrows me to hear of Mr Momin’s demise. He was an excellent administrator. He did a great service to hockey. His name will always be spoken highly of.”
