Organized during the holy month of Ramadan, and their competitions will begin from tomorrow.
The championship competitions are held on the official stadium of the Game Union at the American Creative School in Sharjah on Maliha Road.
Teams participating in the tournament are Sharjah police, people,golden eagles,shima,weotsc,lakenor,waspeter,tigers,uae,dadabai.
The first stage of the tournament will be held in a league system of one round over two groups and the first and second from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
President of the Hockey Federation, Abdullah Sultan Al-Dah Al-Matrushi, confirmed that the organization of the second edition of the tournament coincides with the launch of the Game Federation’s second annual agenda, which serves such tournaments as a means to expand the base of practitioners and discover new talents.
He said: “The Hockey Federation puts on its list of priorities the continuity of activity with the same degree of attention and focus in order to maintain the gains gained during the past period, both technical and administratively.”
He lauded the role played by all Board members in achieving the Union’s ambitions and accomplishing all required tasks.
The technical committee headed by Ahmed Saeed Al-Swedi, a member of the Hockey Federation’s Board of Directors, has determined the technical board for the tournament and all conditions of the competition, including game time “15 minutes”, and each team consists of 4 players on the field, including a goalkeeper and 6 substitutes who can participate at any time during the match.
The Hockey Federation monitored cash and cash awards for the winners, while another six awards were allocated to the best goalkeeper, defender, top scorer of the tournament, rising player, the perfect team and the best player of the tournament.
