Uzbekistan NOC signs partnership with Procter & Gamble

Procter & Gamble, the world-famous manufacturer of personal hygiene products, has become one of the partners of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two organisations on Wednesday, May 1, to further contribute to the development of the Olympic movement in Uzbekistan.

Taking part in the signing ceremony was Tankut Turnaoglu, Procter & Gamble’s senior vice president for Turkey, the Caucasus and Central Asia, and Oybek Kasimov, Secretary General of Uzbekistan NOC.

Speaking at the ceremony, Turnaoglu said Procter & Gamble was pleased to strengthen the promotion of the Olympic movement in Uzbekistan through cooperation with the NOC. He also congratulated the Uzbekistan U23 national football team for qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

In turn, NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov said the recent success of the national team was a result of the progress and development of team sports in the country. It is the first time that Uzbekistan will be taking part in team sports at the Olympic Games.

P&G is an American company founded in 1837. The US multinational has been a partner of the International Olympic Committee since 2010.
