Maggid Abu-Talib, Head Coach at Qatar Men’s Senior National Hockey Team and Nadeem Ahmed FIH Educator conducted the Level 1 Hockey Basics Coaching Course, Doha, Qatar as part of the development and support from Asian Hockey Federation to the countries in the region.
Level 1 Basic Coaching courses have been taking place from 18 June to 23 June, targeting more than 50 male and female physical education teachers. In addition to the course, participants were given the opportunity to learn, play and celebrate hockey during a tournament called “Challenge Cup”
Course participants were the following: 72 men and women P.E Teachers from Qatari Schools, and 5 men and women from Aspire Academy.
The participants are from 10 different countries: Qatar, Syria, Egypt, England, Tunisia, Jordan, Palestine, Pakistan, Morocco, and Romania.
On the final day, Olympic Day, the new coaches will graduate and be equipped to start teaching hockey in their schools.
